Deuce 1000, Circle K Manufacturing Co.
The Deuce 1000, Circle K’s most popular anhydrous tank trailer, accommodates two 1,000-gallon tanks. Its heavy duty frame allows mounting of tanks with leg dimensions of 99 inches to 129 inches in length. The company says this is a great improvement because most older tanks do not have a standard leg spacing. Several new improvements for this season include a torsion axle option, a new neck design allowing better operator access to plumbing, and fender options. Circle K manufactures anhydrous tank trailers to accommodate a variety of tank sizes from double 1,000- and 1,500- gallon tanks, to a single 3,000-gallon tank.

Circle K Manufacturing builds stronger products for customers

There are two things you can be sure you will find along Midwestern highways; deer and fields of corn. Circle K Manufacturing built their business around both of these common sites in the most unusual and innovative way.
In 1999, Clayton Kurtz and his father Chris opened Circle K Fabrication near Oregon, MO. The business began in the family's farm shop where they primarily constructed livestock fencing. An accident led to the development of Circle K's first custom bumper after the pickup Chris Kurtz was driving struck a tree. The pickup received major front end damage. They decided to use their skills to build a heavy duty pickup bumper that would not be damaged by a tree or deer. Now almost 11 years later, the pickup bumper guard is a primary product for Circle K.
After high-school, Clayton Kurtz moved to Ames, Iowa for five years. While in Ames, he continued to expand the metal fabrication business. In the spring of 2008, he and his wife, Amanda, moved back to Missouri to continue their business on the family farm. At that time Circle K Fabrication was renamed, Circle K Manufacturing Co. That year Circle K introduced a new product, anhydrous tank running gears.
"We have 2 main product lines that we manufacture. Anhydrous tank running gears and heavy duty pickup bumper guards." Clayton Kurtz said. "The anhydrous tank running gears are offered in six models that accommodate tanks from double 1000 gallon models to single 3000 gallon tanks. We also stock and sell new Trinity Anhydrous tanks. The 3000 gallon tanks allow larger farms to have the most efficient application for their anhydrous.
Circle K's anhydrous tank running gears were designed in northwest Missouri with our area farmers in mind. (Anhydrous is a nitrogen fertilizer used primarily on corn) These gears feature heavier spindles, taller clearance, easier operator access, stronger frame construction and super single tires to perform better for area farmers. These features have sparked sales to customers in 11 midwestern states.
Almost everyone traveling Midwest highways will sooner or later hit a deer with their vehicle. Today's pickup bumpers consist of lightweight plastic that offers no protection to the truck or passengers. By adding a Circle K bumper guard to your pickup you greatly eliminate the chance for damage and add only about 125 pounds to the front of the pickup. These heavy duty pickup bumpers are built to fit Chevy, Dodge, Ford and GMC pickups from the early 80s to current models. They replace the factory bumpers and protect the pickup from collision damage which usually results from hitting a deer. A network of about 30 dealers retail Circle K bumpers, with models sold as far away as New Mexico and Boston, MA.
In addition to these products Circle K also offers metal fabrication and welding services for northwest Missouri. Our fully equipped shop and trained staff can build or repair just about any metal project that area farmers and businesses may have.
"Circle K Fabrication was started because customers often choose our products over competitors due to our attention to quality. We are family owned and operated and customer satisfaction is our top priority," Clayton said.
"We had been using a competitor's running gears and were dissatisfied with the quality. After talking with Clayton at Circle K, they listened to what needed to be changed and built a running gear that was perfect for our custom application business," said Chris Waegle of County Line Ag in Graham, Missouri.

MAGIE: Thirty Years Young
The record number of attendees at this year's Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) had plenty to celebrate and see.

The S-3000 accommodates Trinity's 3,000-gallon NH3 tank. Featuring articulating rear axles, four-wheel hydraulic surge brakes, extendable tongue, and super single semi tires, the S-3000 offers many advantages over twin 1,500-gallon tanks, says the company. Gauges and fill valves are easily reached from the ground, the frames are sand blasted, primed and painted, and the 9-foot overall width easily fits scales.
